ValleyStone Credit Union®'s Money Market account is a tiered savings plan that pays higher interest rates for higher balances. A minimum of $2500 is required to open the account, and this amount is also required as a minimum monthly average balance. We also require a minimum withdrawal of $500 and limit the amount of withdrawals or transfers to another account to 3 per month. A Money Market account is a great way to earn higher interest on money that you don't need to access all that often. For people who frequently move money between their checking and savings accounts, a regular savings account is the better option.
