ValleyStone Credit Union is seeking to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors. Any member of ValleyStone Credit Union may submit his/her qualifications for nomination to the Board of Directors after complying with the following requirements.

1. The nominee shall be in good standing with ValleyStone Credit Union for at least three months.
2. The Nominating Committee will perform a complete background and credit check of all candidates (applicants will sign an authorization form).
3. There shall be no more than one (1) member of a family either employed by ValleyStone Credit Union and/or on the Board of Directors.

Applications are available at either credit union office and should be submitted by August 1, 2007.

We have learned of an email circulating to the general public requesting personal member information by visiting a specific website and taking part in a survey for $50.00. As you will see in the attached copy, it contains the CU Swirl Logo and the CUSC Network; providing much of the "look and feel" of the organizations. Please help us spread the word that this is not a valid request for information from CUSC or CU Service Centers and that members should never send sensitive information such as passwords, credit card numbers, social security numbers, secret words, or PINs in an email or submit it through a website. In addition, members should never click directly on links in an email that requests sensitive information, even if they recognize and trust the address. These links can redirect you to a fake — though very real looking — Web site.

With any luck you'll never need to use the self-defense techniques Tyrone Jenkins teaches. But the world can be dangerous, and if the time ever comes, you'll be glad you took the chance to learn a few tricks from Tyrone.
