April through
June 2004
The week of March 29th saw the delivery
of the steel framing and roof trusses. You can see the front windows
and doors below. You can also see the drive-thru.

The roof trusses are also
delivered.

The drive-thru foundation
is poured. This will eventually all be underground.
|
In the first week of April more exterior work was completed.

|
| The
yellow in the above photo is exterior daywall. The Tyvek sheathing went over this. |
The black line at the bottom of the building
is the brick shelf. This 6" wide part of the foundation will support the
brick exterior. | Here
you can see the exterior layers. |
Throughout the second week of April, the building was
prepared for brickwork and the HVAC was started inside.

The bricks will go against
this rigid insulation.

The roof trusses go up.
|
The heating and AC duct work
is installed.
|
The the end of April and beginning
of May brought the building to life, as you can see below.

The interior framing is pretty
well set now.

framing.

May and June have been spent on significant
interior progress that doesn't represent itself well in photographs.
The rough electrical and plumbing were done, and the blocking was
in place to allow something for the fabrications, (towel bars etc,)
to be affixed to. The wood framing was also in place for interior
windows and doors.

The linked blowup of the
front brick is large and higher resolution. It will take up
to 10 seconds to open on a dial up connection.
|
This link is also to a larger
and higher resolution photo, so please be patient while it
loads.
|
|
The brick was pretty much finished
the week of June 14th.
